As Turn Up The Value, I’ve been delivering social value coaching and training for organisations and communities across the North of England since 2016. I’ve been lucky enough to turn my deeply held social and environmental values into a successful business.
My social value journey started nearly twenty years ago, working firstly in the voluntary sector, then local government to improve social and environmental outcomes for communities across Greater Manchester.
I have a BA(Hons) in Human Geography, a Masters in Business Administration and an MA in European Environmental Policy and Regulation.
I forge collaborative partnerships across public, private, community, and voluntary sectors to achieve social change. By developing networks of individuals, communities, and organisations, based on their complementary strengths and needs, we can make the progress our society needs.
As a resident of Bolton in Greater Manchester, I’m committed to the growth of social business in our town. I’m heavily involved with several partnerships that support social value and social enterprise, including the GM Social Value Network, GM Local Access Partnership and the Bolton Social Value Partnership. I co-founded the Social Business Collective which brings together small businesses with a social heart in Bolton.
I’m a proud Director of We Be Kids CIC, a social enterprise who’s main aim is to provide free activities for children and families to take part in together and boost their wellbeing. You can find out more here www.webekids.net
Let’s work together to find out what success really means for you, for your stakeholders, and for your environment.
The Social Audit Network
I’m a Director of the Social Audit Network, one of the pioneering organisations of social value work in the UK. Their Social Accounting Framework is integral to the methods of Turn Up The Value, and I’m an experienced facilitator and trainer in S.A.N.’s ‘Prove, Improve, Account’ training programme.
